October 2018 ~ Interstate Style

I think we started a new family tradition this past weekend. We brought Winston to the pumpkin patch. There were animals, games, bouncy mattresses, slides and of course, plenty of places to take pictures with pumpkins. It wound up being a little warmer than we expected, but it was fun to get dressed up for the  occasion and explore. More details on outfits below.

This mustard pullover comes in several other shades. Size down, it's pretty big. Expect and oversized look like this even if you get an xs. I've been wearing mine around the house a lot with joggers. It's so comfortable for lounging. I would say it's heavy enough to keep you warm outside if it's a little chilly, but also thin enough to layer.

It was a warm day so we didn't bundle Winston up too much. This white thermal is so cute and only $5. His pants come in a three pack and are under $10. I love the thick waistband. More on his look below.

I'll definitely be wearing this look all Fall and Winter long. What's your must-have wardrobe piece for cold weather?

We survived our first trip away from Winston. And by survived, I mean I only cried a few times. It was probably (definitely) harder on us than it was on him. We stayed at The Cove at Atlantis on Paradise Island and spent a couple days at Albany Resort on New Providence. It was amazing to spend five days relaxing in the sun, but even better to come home to our smiley boy.

Hooray for off season! A lot of my pieces from the trip are on sale. SCORE! Shop outfit details below.

These gauze cover-up pants deserve a shout out. They are super cute and so flattering. I probably wore these more than anything else on the trip. Make sure to size down because they run big. I'm 5'4 and an xs hit just an inch or two above the ground in the back. I wore them high-waisted.

Here are a few of my favorite products and outfit pieces I didn't photograph. If you have getaway planned, I would highly recommend them ALL. This was my first time using SuperGoop sunscreen and I absolutely loved it. I bought this 3-pack (which is such a good deal) and it lasted me the whole trip. I had heard so much about the COOLA setting spray with SPF, so I had to try it. I loved it so much, I will be taking it on future trips for sure. I like to put a light layer of make-up on before the beach (so I don't scare anyone, haha), and even through the crazy humidity and dips into the water, it kept my makeup looking like it did before I left the hotel room. Also, my face was sunburn free the entire trip. Same for my body with the SuperGoop. I brought too many suits, so I didn't get to wear this on floral off the shoulder swimsuit, but it fits really well, and the price is unbelievable. One of my favorite suits of the trip was this light blue plunging one piece. I really liked the color, print and how girly the front was but that the back was moderate to full coverage with straps that actually stay on (hard to find, am I right)? A matching bow scrunchie was a must, of course. Lastly, this beach cover-up unfortunately came in the mail after I flew out, but is absolutely gorgeous. I bought the red multi color. This cover up can double as both a sarong and a beach blanket. I can't wait to use it on the next trip and maybe grab a couple more colors.
