Western Boots for Winter

Happy Weekend Friends! Does anyone have anything fabulous planned? I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of western boots and wanted to share this new pair with you. My pre-reqs for the new boots were: pointy toe, with a stacked heel, but not so tall that I couldn't get around in the ice and snow. This black ice is no joke. I also wanted a someone dressy boot that was pretty enough for date nights. After three long months of searching, I found these, and couldn't be happier. They also come in a ton of colors. 

I love that these boots look good with both skinny and wide leg denim, and am  so glad I held out for the perfect pair. I've always been a fan of the western style bootie, and have several pairs. While they seem to be more popular this year, I feel like they'll never actually go out of style. So, while they were a little bit of a splurge, I know I'll have them for a long time. These run narrow and slightly small. Size up a half size.

Favorite Oversized Hat

Happy New Year Friends! I'm looking forward to providing you some amazing content in 2019. Last year was so wonderful, and I look forward to connecting with more of you as 2019 marches on. I'm a hat lover at heart, so I'm always excited to share styles with you when I try to a new brand. This rancher hat is definitely a statement piece with a large brim measuring almost four inches. I'll admit, it's big enough that I need to take it off while driving, haha. But, I've loved adding this to my Winter wardrobe. 

This hat is the perfect neutral and goes great with all of my warm coats. Yes, hats can be expensive. To me they are investment pieces, like a bag. So, if you you've been looking for something like this, I will say the material and stitching are quality, and I'm happy with the purchase. Also, I love that you can get it two-day shipping with Amazon Prime! 

It's my first Winter in Utah, and this jacket is by far my most used of the season. It's warm, water resistant and has a cute faux fur trimmed hood. I fell in love with the silvery olive green color when I saw it, and it surprisingly goes with a lot pieces in my closet. This jacket comes in burgundy, too.

These boots are a new addition to my closet and were a steal at only $40. With a round toe and faux shearling they are both warm and comfortable. They can be worn folded down (like in the pic above) for folded up, only showing a tiny bit of the faux shearling at the top. Size up a half size if you plan to wear thick socks with them.
