Sometimes, I don't want to break out my $48 bottle of foundation, limited edition contouring palettes and expensive highlighter just to sit on my couch and watch cartoons with my baby. No offense Winston. Mommy still wants to look pretty for you :) But is anyone with me? Anyway, I do want to have something on my face... Makeup is expensive, so if you could achieve the same or similar look for less, wouldn't you? Whether you need make-up on the fly and can't run to the mall, or if you simply want to add a few less expensive pieces to your beauty routine, I'm sharing my beauty favorites from the drugstore below. All are comparable to the department store brands that I use on a regular basis.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation: I have combination skin, and this foundation is a dream, giving me the perfect glow for daily use. I mix colors 201 & 203 to get my perfect shade. If you have oily skin, I would not recommend, as you may wind up looking over shiny. I would say this foundation is comparable to NARS All Day Luminous Foundation

NYX Eyebrow Gel: I have been using this gel for over a year, and keep using it because it's such great quality. If you're an Anastasia Brow Dip lover, you should really try this. It's a fraction of the cost at only $7, is water-proof and long lasting. The only difference between the two brands, is the consistency isn't as thick, but close. I wear the blonde shade which is comparable to the Anastasia Taupe Brow Dip.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer: I picked this up at the store to try about 6 months ago. I wanted something with a treatment in it, but also something with actual coverage that was comparable to my everyday go-to: NARS Radiant Cream Concealer. I continue to wear this, because it's light weight, but buildable, and I found it in my perfect cool shade, "Fair."

NYX Butter Lip Gloss: My favorite color is "Creme Brulee," a perfect blend of creamy and shear nude gloss. Besides the color, I love that it's not sticky like so many glosses out there. It's not advertised as an all day or long lasting gloss but it should be. It lasts for hours.

NYX Highlighter: I received this as a gift at a NYX store opening, and when I used it for the first time, I was mad at myself for waiting so long to open it. It is THE perfect highlighter, and by that I mean: not too iridescent, not too shimmery and not too glittery. Just perfection. I can't say enough about this one! My shade is "Twilight Tint." I'm currently using a limited edition highlighter from the a Tarte holiday palette during the week, and this is the closest to it that I've found so far.

L'Oreal Glow Nude Highlighter Palette: Great for travel, or second option to that expensive quad palette you may already have in your make-up kit. This palette is the newest addition to my make-up stash, and I what I like most, is how versatile it is. There is a highlighter, bronzer, and blush option included to get the glow I want.

NYX Professional Make-Up Brushes: I couldn't find a direct link to these for you guys, but wanted to mention them because they are softer and better quality than almost all of my department store brushes. Try them them out!

I've been a fan of NARS products for years, so I was happy to be invited to the Spring Color Launch at NARS in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace a couple weeks ago, for a preview of the new limited edition products. They did NOT disappoint.
A NARS senior makeup artist and artist to celebs, demonstrated how to achieve a pretty Spring look in only 15 minutes.
I was super impressed with new Spring NARSissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette. You get 12 shadows that include matte, satin, metallic and glitter finishes. They are super rich and pigmented for really great coverage. My NARS shadows always last me a long time, so $59 is a steal.
This Spring lip pencil trio comes in three shades perfect for any season, and in a super chic travel case. Included are: three full-size velvet matte lips pencils and a sharpener. I was pleasantly surprised by this product. These jumbo pencils are super creamy and cover like a lipstick, but are easy to precisely apply like a pencil.

Drybar was at this event providing complimentary curls and braids, and Absolut making the most beautiful cocktails. Thank you NARS Las Vegas for having me!

For the girl that doesn't want pink and red everything for Valentine's Day, or maybe she just loves the marble pattern. Here are a few items on my wish list from Zaful

This six-piece marble make-up brush set is not only gorgeous but eco-friendly too. The marble with the rose gold is so pretty, too. Marble studs in round or triangle options are perfect for any stylish friend or family member. They are neutral enough, so they can be worn with just about anything. You'll be shocked at how reasonably priced they are. My favorite marble find at Zaful is the Marble Sports Bra with Mesh Leggings set. The leggings are high-waisted (yes)! All of these items are discounted for the 2018 Zaful Valentine's Sale

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Hi All! I've been getting some inquiries on the jeans I've worn in my last couple posts, so today I wanted to give you some casual outfit inspiration with these errand-worthy threads, and talk about this pair of jeans that I can't stop wearing.

These ripped skinny jeans are from Rosegal, and are the most comfortable pair I've worn in a really long time. They are not jeggings, they are jeans, but they have an amazing amount of stretch in them to help fit my body in all the right places. Being completely real....This is one of my first pair of jeans since giving birth to my little boy Winston. I haven't quite made it to my goal weight, so when I was on the hunt for a pair of jeans, I need forgiving fabric that still looked stylish with an on trend wash. These are super reasonable at only $25, so when I need the next size down, I'm not going to break the bank. The fit is true to size and the wash is best see in all images below this text.

"The Sweetest Sale" is going on now for Rosegal Valentine's Gifts with almost 80% off sitewide. Use code LOVE24.

Grab items from their Best Valentine's Gifts for 2018 selection, the sale ends tomorrow.

It's the weekend! FINALLY!

Today I wanted to share some casual outfit inspiration with you. One of my goals for 2018 is to buy less statement pieces and more casual outfit additions that are comfy AND stylish, that I can wear more often.

I couldn't go another day without sharing this camo beaded jacket. I will say, this is definitely a new favorite in my closet. It's light weight and is technically a belted jacket, but is the thickness of a shirt (maybe a little thicker than a shirt), making it easy to wear with so many things.

This jacket fits true to size. I bought a size up so I have the option of buttoning the front and wearing like a shirt or tying the belt in the back and wearing as a jacket. The belt holes are small, so if you aren't a belt person, you can take it off with no worries of seeing a huge loop on each side. It also washes well. All of my beads stayed intact :)

You can pick up this style at Rosegal during their Best Valentine's Gift 2018 sale. They are currently offering 25% off with code LOVE24. If you think this site is just for the ladies, think again. Check out their Rose Valentines Gifts for guys too.

The white top I'm wearing is perfect for layering and super soft... And these blush sneakers are by far the most comfortable pair I own.

Happy Thursday! Today, I'm sharing an effortless outfit, that is super easy to throw on and head out for errands.

I'm on the chunky sweater bandwagon, and love this beautiful blue color. Oversized sweaters are so comfortable and oddly enough, pretty flattering from what I've found. This one fits true to size. It's super toasty, so unless I'm going to be out in the wind, I'll wear this solo, without a tank underneath. It's not itchy (like other sweaters) at all.

I've been searching for the perfect mid-size crossbody bag that can go with everything, and finally found it. I got this bag in last week (comes in brown too) and have been taking it everywhere. It's called the elegant suede and chain design cross body bag. There's plenty of room for a small wallet, phone, keys, lip gloss and a few other small items. The outter flap is faux suede and the rest of the bag is faux leather. This designer inspired bag is a steal at  at under $20. I'll be ordering the other color too (whoops, can't resist).
I'm wearing these blush mules almost every other day. They're currently on sale with most sizes available. Grab a pair for a deal before the price goes back up.

It's almost the weekend!!

Las Vegas, as usual has been chilly one day and the next it'll be in the high 60's (I'm not complaining - haha. I know some of you are freezing your little buns off with much colder weather). I got this faux suede zip up biker jacket over the weekend, and it's perfect for those days I don't need to be super bundled. If you remember my Favorite Biker Jackets under $50 blog post, you'll recognize this jacket. The color is called, "Apricot," and looks very light online, but the true color is more of a tan/light camel shade.

This is my first neutral biker jacket, so I'm excited to be able to wear it more often with more things in my closet. I paired it with my favorite flowy long sleeve tee, that comes in several colors. Both the jacket and tee will transition nicely into Spring.

Have a great rest of the week and weekend!
