Fun Fall Little Black Dress

I'm so thrilled Fall has finally arrived in Vegas, so I can start wearing cute dresses with tights and booties. Today I want to share this Floral Mini A Line Dress with you. I just added it to my closet and have been rocking it with black tights and black booties. To dress it up even more, I will be wearing it with a double wrap black leather belt and black leather over the knee boots. This dress is made of polyester but feels like a thin cotton. I plan on keeping this around for summer to wear with some black wedges.

The Perfect Winter Maxi Dress

This long sleeve maxi from Rose Gal is perfect for Winter, and I plan on wearing it to a Holiday party or two or three. 

Let me start by saying, I love the long sleeves on this maxi dress.  It's hard to wear a pretty dress in the Winter, and not have to slap on a heavy coat over it, defeating the purpose of wearing your beautiful dress. The long sleeves will help keep that coat away a little longer and show off the sexy back that make the dress feel so fancy. I like that this dress' skirt is maxi length too, so I can still bundle up with my favorite pair of booties. Oh, and let me mention the material is super soft and stretchy making it that much more comfortable. 

This dress is tested and approved. I ran errands in this dress with some platform sandals and minimal accessories (it's not quite Winter in Vegas yet). The material makes it insanely comfortable with a casual feel, but the back makes it feel like a gown to me. 

When I wear this to a Holiday party, I plan on dressing it up with a belt, matching bag and a statement necklace or sparkly drop earrings. If you think you like the style but aren't sure of the grey and white combo I'm wearing, this dress comes in 8 different colors (and 4 sizes).

Backpack Purses

I wanted to pick up a backpack purse for my trip to Seattle, and of course found so many in stores that I couldn't decide on just one. I recently picked up two (both under $30) and the picture doesn't even do them justice. They are gorgeous. I decided to take this chic black backpack with gold zipper details on my trip to Seattle and couldn't be happier. I love backpack purses because even though it's a "backpack," (which hasn't always been the biggest fashion statement), you can find designs that match your style (like a purse), and have your hands free to shop, or grab a Starbucks (or cocktail) in the airport and still have plenty of room for all of your essentials. In this $29 black backpack, I had room for my iPad, a book, wallet, headphones, cell phone, small make-up bag and keys with a little more room to spare. I bought this to travel with, but now find myself taking it to work with me as my purse. 

I plan on using this pretty Madison West metallic grey backpack in the near future. It's so  beautiful pretty I'm afraid to set it down and get anything on it. I can't believe it was only $29.00. I picked this up at Marshalls. SCORE!

I'm very happy with these two purchases, and am thrilled I could grab two trendy accessories for under $30 each.

My Favorite Pleated Skirts of the Season

I love the pleated skirt trend, and plan on rocking these all Winter with chunky heel booties (once it gets cold enough here in Vegas). The midi length is my favorite because it can be worn so many ways for all types of occasions. Below I've picked out my favorite pleated midi skirts for the season.

Leather is of course a staple for Winter, so you can't go wrong with a pleated leather midi and some gorgeous booties to stay on trend. 

JERSEY TOPSHOP PLEATED MIDI

Even the lightest fabrics (like Jersey) can be layered with a chunky cardigan and OTK boots to keep you nice and warm. Living in the desert, we're not used to the Winter you east coast fashionistas are, so having light fabrics like this are great for layering in Fall and Winter and wearing solo in Spring and Summer.

TOPSHOP VELOUR PLEATED MIDI

In the past, I haven't been a huge supporter of wearing velour and velvet . Turns out, Winter 2016 clothing lines are full of both and I'm shocked to say, I couldn't be more impressed. Today there are pumps and skirts and jackets in every color of velour and velvet you can think of. . . This pink velour midi skirt for example is gorgeous. I may start with purchasing some velvet booties, baby steps (haha).

The Vegas pool days of Summer 2016 are dwindling. The wind is blowing everything that isn't stuck in the ground into our pool and while the 80 and 90 degrees are still happening here and there, the pool water is barely warm enough to get two feet in :( With that being said, we desert girls are finally ready for REAL transition outfits. I found the softest jumper for fall at my favorite Salt Lake City boutique, Flight. I see furry boots and a leather jacket with this jumper in my future. . . But for now, I'm wearing it solo along side my favorite booties.

Blush Tunic

We've had some crazy wind in Vegas the past couple weeks, which only shows off flowy pieces like this Free People Tunic even more. It comes in two gorgeous colors, blush/mink and a smokey purple/wine shade. I was so excited to put this on, I forgot to tuck in my hanger string (whoops). Lately I've been loving to wear this tunic with leggings or wide leg culottes. The materials is super light weight, the design is very flowing, a.k.a. super flattering and can be worn casual or dressed up. I will be using this to layer my sweaters this winter :)

Emerald Floral Midi Dress

I'm jumping on the floral dress train and I don't want to get off.

Who doesn't want a floral dress sitting in their closet this fall. With this dress, I found I've been able to wear it to work, to a wedding rehearsal and for date night. I love the length of midi dresses. And because they are so versatile, it makes me want to keep styles like this in my closet that much longer.
