Today I'm sharing my favorite midi and maxi dresses for Spring and Summer. Mamas, these are non-maternity styles, but are all bump friendly. Most styles I either own, or have them in my cart. For loser fitting styles, I grabbed my normal size. If it's a more fitted style, I went up one size.
Such a good Fendi dupe! They are just as pretty in person as they are in the picture and feel like great quality. Click here to see all of the colors they offer.
I wanted something different on our front door this Spring and thought this wreath would be perfect. It's not on Prime, but is worth the week or two wait. Tip: When you get your order, you'll need to unpackage and slightly pull the branches a part if you like the look of the pictures. It comes boxed with the branches all very close together. We bought the 28 inches for size reference.
These jammies are so affordable and crazy soft. They wash well and are such good quality. I was happy to find sets so soft and affordable that are going to last (until Winston grows out of them). There are a bunch of color options and a few different styles for boys and girls (round neck, high neck, ruffle neck etc.). Under $20 is such a steal.
Starting about a month ago, Winston decided he wanted to empty his dresser daily. My solution..... was to put everything in the dresser on a hanger in the closet that he hasn't managed to figure out how to open (it's one of those magnetic pull doors). It comes in three pieces and take 30 seconds to put together. Life-changing. I used these kids hangers.
I realized I have so many pants that I don't wear because I don't see them regularly. I hung up all my jeans and pants so I can see the selection daily.
We had ordered this for Winston's Easter basket, and it's been fun to watch him take his own pictures. It's a real camera with a charger and memory card. Also comes in blue and pink.
When I was pregnant with Winston, I wasn't super exited about buying maternity clothes. They can be overpriced, look frumpy, and my thought was that I'd only be waring them for a few months... So it may not be worth the cost. I tried to buy as many non-maternity pieces as possible.
Second time around, I'm having a smilier thought process. With baby number two, my bump started to grow a lot earlier in the pregnancy, so I have been wearing maternity denim and leggings since I was about four months along. Besides those, I'm excited that buying up one size in brands I normally wear has worked just perfect. I put together a mini maternity capsule wardrobe below with a bunch of options in each category. I hope this helpful to you first time moms and moms looking for new ideas this time around.
Comfy Midi Dresses:
Leggings (Maternity & Non-Maternity):
I love the Zella leggings for lounging or running around. They are thick enough to be flattering but not too hot and don't have too much compression. Blanqi brand leggings are a little dressier, which I love. The Align pants are my favorite for hanging around the house. These are not maternity but are stretchy enough and high-waisted enough to grow with your bump. I liked the jogger version also. I have my normal size and one size up.
Oversized Tees:
These are a must for over leggings and skirts. Post pregnancy you'll still be able to wear them normal or tied in a knot.
Flowy Tanks/Tops:
Cozy Loungewear: I bought a medium in the men's hoodie. I would do a large if I bought again for an even more oversized feel. Perfect for leggings.
Cardigans & Kimonos:
These are great for covering the bum when you're wearing a nice midi dress for a shorter shirt with leggings. I like having something cozy and a lightweight option if it's warmer outside.
Denim:
Denim: I like Target and ASOS for maternity denim. Both brands offer affordable, crazy comfortable options. I have both of the brands below. I sized down in the Target pair and got my true size in ASOS.
Underwear:
Underwear: As my belly grows, I feel like barrettes are always the most comfortable option. Anything longline that I normally would wear just doesn't work.
Preventing Stretch Marks:
I use this everyday to prevent stretch marks and itching.
Vitamins:
These are great because they don't make me nauseous and I can take them without food.
Water Bottle:
I drink so much more water when I'm pregnant. I love having a cute water bottle to carry around. I swear it helps me drink more : )

This past weekend, we did a little upgrade on Winston's reading nook and had to share because it was so easy. I didn't take a before picture, but we used to lean all the books against the wall and by the end of each day we'd have one big pile of books. I purchased a few acrylic shelves a few months ago and we finally put them up. They only took about 15 minutes to install. If you have a spot around the house where this could be useful, it's such a great quick fix. Linking everything used and other sizing options below.
Happy almost Friday Friends! I hope everyone is staying home and staying safe. I have this pretty maxi in two colors and my absolute favorite ("Ivory Combo," looks blue) is on major sale with free shipping. Sizes are fully stocked and the sale ends soon. This is a purchase you won't regret.
My favorite part about this dress besides the effortless style, is that it's so comfortable. I've worn this running errands, to a baby shower, for birthday parties and so many other spots. It's a great way style for a polished look without compromising your comfort.
In these pictures I'm wearing 4 inch heels, but even with flats, my dress doesn't touch the floor and I'm 5'4." The fit is oversized and looks great with or without a belt. I'm wearing a size small and probably could've done and xs minus the bump. This is not a maternity dress, but works great with the bump. I would definitely say, get your true size in this brand.
I recently discovered a few super chic backpack purses that are perfect additions to your Spring wardrobe. While I love my shoulder bags, sometimes it's nice to have my hands free without compromising a look. Today, I'm sharing some of my favorites in different price points.
This light grey faux leather backpack was a steal under $40. I have plenty of room for my essentials, plus a few of Winston's and Jared's if we're out and about. I love the adjustable strap option, too. I promise, you will get a ton of compliments when you wear this! Oh, and this sweatshirt is maternity but does not fit like it at all.
I found these gorgeous designer dupe bags, and couldn't believe they were under $30. I haven't had a chance to style them yet, but didn't want you to miss out on this opportunity before they sell out. I purchased both the beige and brown and both look and feel like quality bags. Each backpack also comes with a thick crossbody strap and small clutch with a cute buckle detail.
This last backpack by Calpak is a little bit more of an investment, but is perfect for travel, work or everyday errands. It's big enough for a 15-inch laptop and comes in 6 pretty shades.
I don't own this bag (yet) but have seen it in stores and it's such a chic looking backpack. I love the sticking detail around the border and the top handle detail. I'm debating if I'd wear the caramel or navy more.
Gosh, it feels like forever since I've been able to share a pretty dress with you. In between snow storms we were lucky enough to get temps above 40 degrees last weekend, and I had the chance to shoot this dreamy boho dress. Full disclosure, I also have it in this color, and would love every color. That's how good it is.
The flowy fit is so comfortable and flattering. I've dressed it down here with a soft denim jacket and studded sneakers, but you can easily dress this up with heels. I've also belted it and loved that look, too.
This pink shade is even more beautiful in person and will be perfect for Spring and Summer. Let me know your thoughts if you pick one up. Have a great weekend!
